Mr. Roufs brings more than twenty years of industry experience in the dietary supplement field to augment Immudyne's research and production team. Immudyne began their patent development work through the purchase of a patent originally owned by Bayer - US Patent #4,138,479 "Process for the preparation of immunopotentiating agents from components of yeast cell wall material". It was through this patent that Immudyne began to explore the use of yeast cell wall polysaccharides, specifically -glucans, as activators of the immune system and their possible therapeutic uses.
